What are you to expect when writing a blog? What are you to expect when reading a blog? What are you to expect while you are in college? What are you to expect when you have a job or are looking for a job?
-So much to expect in this world but do we truly know what we are expecting? This may not be relevant to all of my questions but it is in my head. One evening I decided to go and visit my Mom while she was at work, sitting there I slowly got hungry. They have menu's in the backroom and I went on to go in and look at them. There is a nice restaurant directly next door to them so I decided to go in and order some Eggplant Parmesan. I told the nice lady up front that I am here for a pick up, so I gave her my money to pay. I sat down as she walked away. A man returned with my change, but the only "funny" thing is to me; there was no change! He gave me all cash back, I asked where the almost dollar in coins were and he stared at me. With a blank, almost laughing stare he continued to gave and said, "Oh, you want that?" Of course I replied yes. It may sound cheap that I want ALL of my change back. But yes, I am a college student working 2-3 job; Yes I want my change back, even the coins. But what are you to expect?!

Entry #1: Blogging?
My opinion of blogs before starting this class was not the best. I didn't understand the point of them or why people would rather sit online talking to strangers of the world about their lives; and that is only if the strangers are even reading them. Now that I have started this course and read some about blogs, I understand the different purposes for them and why people write them. And that the basic blog I thought of, is not the only type of blog out there (for college, for a professional site, as a citizen, and for personal reasons). Before the start of this course I had no interest in reading blogs or creating one, I was hardly on the internet as is. Most of the blogs I have read since the start of this course have not interested me, except for a select few. The serious, business type blogs along with the personal blogs of others do not interest me. I tend to day dream while I am reading or do not focus at all. Blogs that are attractive to me insist of daily matters, artsy, and simple. Ones that have art involved pictures, or music! Then I am hooked.
The Introductory:
Hello fellow bloggers, my name is Rhianna Mitchell. I am 18 years old and this is my first year at Glendale Community College; My goals for attending GCC is to find out what exactly I want my major to be and then transferring to a university (Maybe NAU, GCU, or ASU). My whole life until the summer of Junior year I wanted to be a Chef, just like my whole family. I grew up cooking and I do love it, but then I felt like maybe I should be a Nurse. A RN even! Such high hopes, I read and read about nursing, until I realized how I would rather not be one. I've always drawn and been an artist, so I thought maybe I will just get my degree in Graphic Design here at GCC. My family though, talked it out of my mind, saying I cannot do much with that degree, which I understand. So now I'm just floating in a way. Taking basic classes until I truly know what I want to spend the rest of my life doing. If only I could be Guy Fieri and eat for a living, now that is a good life!
